The Parts Manager will help customers get the replacement parts they need for towing and wrecker vehicles.
In this position, you will oversee the entire parts department.
This involves managing employees, checking inventory, and ordering new parts when necessary.
You will also directly handle customer service when an issue needs extra support.
Our ideal applicant has several years of experience working with auto parts, preferably with some leadership or management experience.
You also need strong customer service and communication skills.
Parts Manager Duties and Responsibilities Assist in hiring, training and coaching the parts department staff Control and balance Parts Inventory levels to company standards Effectively process and submit all parts invoices, reports and returns Oversee the shipment of replacement parts Supervise procedures including but not limited to, stock orders, parts tagging, special orders and past-due collections Analyze sales, expenses and inventory consistently to maintain profit goals Establish strategies for pricing, sales promotions, co-op advertising and external telemarketing efforts Ensure customer complaints are quickly resolved to company guidelines Minimize obsolescence, low inventory levels and lost sales Prepare an annual operating budget for the parts department Ensure the parts department is well-maintained and organized Communicate effectively with customers and other departments within the dealership Follow all company safety policies and procedures Parts Manager Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Automotive experience Management or leadership experience Strong communication and customer service skills Computer proficiency Company offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
